We are now seeking an engaged care assistant for Ekdalagården, located in central Mölnlycke. The position is located in our dementia department, where you, together with colleagues, work to create a safe, dignified, and meaningful everyday life for our residents. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Job Responsibilities

We offer you a stimulating and developing job where you, together with competent colleagues, contribute to creating security, good care, and support in the daily lives of our users, while enabling a meaningful and active leisure time. The tasks are tailored to each individual's needs, resources, and conditions. The work includes, among other things, support with hygiene, meals, cleaning, laundry, activities, and social interaction.

You will also be responsible for social documentation, advocacy assignments, and delegated health and medical care tasks. The work is varied and can sometimes be both demanding and physically strenuous. We focus on safety, respect, and participation for the users.

We want educated staff in our elderly care and encourage you as a care assistant to develop your competence. Within the framework of the position, we offer the opportunity for validation to nursing assistant. We are looking for someone who is curious and open to education and professional development.

Co-planning

Härryda municipality works to increase the basic staffing and reduce the need for hourly employment. Co-planning means that you have a home unit but may also work shifts in other units within the municipality as needed.

The purpose is to ensure continuity and safe care for the users while providing you, as an employee, with variety, broader experience, and opportunities for professional development. An introduction will be provided to help you feel secure.

Requirements

• Trained care assistant and previous experience in dementia care
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills, preferably with experience in social documentation.
• Experience in care and support work.
• Ability to take and follow delegated health and medical care tasks.
• Open to education and professional development, such as validation to nursing assistant.

Meritorious

• Trained nursing assistant.
• Experience working with quality issues and value-based work.
• Experience with TimeCare, Treserva, and/or the BPSD registry.

Personal Qualities

• Empathetic and flexible.
• Responsible and independent.
• Good collaboration skills and a positive attitude.
• Calm in demanding situations.
